Allison Laupp - Award Winning Pastel Artist
I've been drawn to the power of expression through art since childhood.
I find my true fulfillment when my hands are engaged in creating something beautiful, drawing inspiration from the wonders of life and nature. For me, art is not just a hobby but a genuine passion and calling in life. My goal is to convey the beauty of the world onto canvas for viewers to appreciate and connect with. Alongside raising our four sweet children – Owen, Natalie, Teddy, and Isla – with my supportive husband Nathan, I feel incredibly grateful to pursue my dream of being an artist. |
Pastels
Throughout my life, I have experimented with different mediums. Pastels are my medium of choice for several reasons: they are the most vivid, pure, and luminous of all mediums. I tend to work boldly and quickly, and pastels feel the most natural in my hand, as they allow me freely apply color, creating striking contrast. They can create soft yet strong pieces, and allow for so many techniques. Pastels are never boring! |
Landscapes
Living in Defiance, Missouri, I am perpetually inspired by my surroundings - untouched forest and field, as well as Century Farms, and vineyards on rolling hills. I strive to bring my viewers into the rich visual experience that is Wine County Missouri. My landscape work is done En Plein Air or in my studio. |
Collectors
It is a true honor when another person finds beauty and meaning in my work, and chooses to invest in my original art pieces. I’m honored to have created work that will last for generations, and I love when my collectors reach out to show me where a painting has found its place in their home.
